What you'll do

Write code and design distributed systems for high-throughput, regulated financial platforms.
Manage microservices architecture, cloud infrastructure, and Kafka event pipelines across multiple engineering domains.
Translate business, trading, and operations requirements into technical engineering solutions.
Establish standards for automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and production reliability.
Lead the strategy and implementation of agentic AI-enabled engineering and SDLC automation.
Oversee cross-domain integration using AWS-native infrastructure and SQL/NoSQL data layers.
Act as the primary technical interface to communicate trade-offs to senior leaders and stakeholders.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate, and solve complex technical items within a domain of expertise.
Experience developing or leading large or cross-functional teams of technologists.
Expert-level backend engineering in Java (Spring Boot, Spring Integration, Hibernate/JPA) and/or Python with strong SQL and data modeling skills.
Deep AWS experience across ECS/EKS, Lambda, Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, Glue, and CloudWatch to design and operate cloud-native systems.
Hands-on Apache Kafka experience including topic design, consumer group management, and stream processing patterns.
Solid grasp of distributed systems fundamentals, CI/CD practices, and test engineering.
Experience leading multi-organization adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering models and understanding of responsible AI risk (preferred).
