What you'll do

  • Lead system- and subsystem-level electrical validation for server hardware throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop comprehensive validation strategies, test plans, and technical reports for complex hardware changes.
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for board, subsystem, and field-level failures.
  • Use high-speed oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other laboratory instrumentation to characterize electrical behavior.
  • Investigate signal integrity, power integrity, timing, and noise issues affecting system performance.
  • Qualify alternate-source components and manage Approved Vendor List activities to ensure manufacturing continuity.
  • Collaborate with firmware, software, and manufacturing teams to resolve critical hardware issues.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers during complex validation and debug processes.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 7+ years experience; Master's with 5+ years; Doctorate with 3+ years; or 11+ years without a degree.
  • Strong systems-level electrical or hardware engineering background including validation and troubleshooting of complex computing, server, or embedded platforms.
  • Proven ability to develop and lead complex hardware validation and qualification efforts.
  • Proficiency with high-speed oscilloscopes, differential probes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, and other laboratory instrumentation.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical signal integrity concepts including timing, jitter, noise, and frequency-domain analysis.
  • Ability to debug board- and subsystem-level issues using schematics, measurements, and systematic root-cause analysis.
  • Experience with enterprise servers, data center infrastructure, or high-performance GPU-based computing platforms (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Intel/AMD/Ampere architectures, Ethernet standards, power integrity, and Python for automation (preferred).
