The Principal Electrical Engineer - Server Hardware Validation joins the OCI Hardware Engineering team to lead complex hardware validation and sustaining engineering efforts throughout the product lifecycle. What we're looking for
Applicants must have a Bachelor's in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 7+ years of experience, a Master's with 5+ years, a Doctorate with 3+ years, or 11+ years of experience without a degree.
Candidates must have a strong systems-level electrical or hardware engineering background in validating and troubleshooting complex computing, server, or embedded hardware platforms.
Proven ability to develop and lead complex hardware validation and qualification efforts is required.
Deep hands-on proficiency with high-speed oscilloscopes, differential probes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers is required.
Strong knowledge of electrical signal integrity concepts, including timing, jitter, noise, and frequency-domain analysis is required.
Demonstrated ability to debug complex board- and subsystem-level hardware issues using schematics, electrical measurements, and systematic root-cause analysis is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to document and communicate complex technical findings.
Background in enterprise servers, data center infrastructure, or large-scale computing platforms (preferred).
