Principal Edge Architect - Software and Runtime will join the team to own the compute, operating system, driver, middleware, tools, and runtime architecture for autonomy software running on the NVIDIA Thor-based edge platform. The role involves defining edge compute and runtime architectures for autonomy services, including OS configuration, service lifecycle, and resource allocation across perception, robotics, machine interface, data logging, and diagnostics. You will utilize the NVIDIA Jetson software ecosystem, specifically Jetson Linux, CUDA, TensorRT, and Isaac to support GPU-accelerated inference and sensor data processing. The position focuses on solving complex challenges in construction autonomy by building intelligent systems that allow machines to perceive their environment and make informed decisions. Key technical requirements include experience with embedded Linux systems, middleware, service orchestration, and runtime health management for real-time autonomy workloads on edge computing platforms.
Define edge compute and runtime architecture for autonomy services on NVIDIA Thor-based platforms.
Configure operating systems, middleware, and service lifecycles to ensure reliable execution on edge devices.
Utilize the NVIDIA Jetson software ecosystem to support GPU-accelerated inference and sensor data processing.
Manage resource allocation for CPU, GPU, memory, storage, and network across various autonomy services.
Design runtime monitoring and health management systems for fault detection and field diagnostics.
Optimize model deployment and system integration using CUDA, TensorRT, and Isaac tools.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure software reliability across perception, robotics, and machine interfaces.
What we're looking for
Experience with edge AI runtime platforms, embedded Linux systems, or robotics compute platforms.
Experience with NVIDIA Jetson IGX/AGX Thor ecosystem, Jetson Linux, CUDA, TensorRT, and Isaac is a strong plus.
Solid understanding of CPU, GPU, memory, storage, network, and compute resource management for real-time autonomy workloads.
Experience with middleware, drivers, service orchestration, process monitoring, logging, diagnostics, and software updates on embedded or edge platforms.
Ability to collaborate across perception, robotics, machine platform, safety, cybersecurity, operations, and supplier teams.
