As a Principal Digital Assets Engineer, you will join a team focused on designing highly available, secure, and scalable multi-region microservices-based solutions within the financial services industry. You will build hardened Linux-based Docker images, onboard containerized applications to Kubernetes using custom Helm Charts, and manage production EKS clusters on AWS. Your daily responsibilities include developing observability solutions like Datadog dashboards and alerts, creating Infrastructure as Code via Terraform, and crafting automated deployment pipelines using Jenkins. You will also develop Python scripts and tools utilizing boto3, troubleshoot Linux-based operating systems, and support Kafka/Confluent integrations. This role requires technical leadership to mentor junior members and provide on-call support for mission-critical systems. You will solve complex infrastructure challenges by implementing robust automation, managing Git source code, and maintaining Aurora Postgres clusters in multi-region cloud environments.
Design highly available, secure, and scalable multi-region microservices using AWS and Kubernetes (EKS).
Build and harden multi-layer Linux-based Docker images for engineering partners.
Manage production and non-production EKS clusters using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
Develop observability solutions including dashboards, alerts, and synthetics using Datadog.
Automate deployments and infrastructure tasks using Jenkins pipelines, Python scripts, and Bash.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and on-call support for EKS workloads.
Troubleshoot Linux operating system issues and manage Kafka/Confluent solution integrations.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field and experience as a Principal Digital Assets Engineer.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field and experience as a Principal Digital Assets Engineer.
Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure solutions using Amazon EKS, AWS Cloud Services, and Terraform within the financial services industry.
Expertise in deploying applications to clusters using Helm and Jenkins Core Continuous Delivery pipelines.
Expertise in integrating Datadog logging, synthetics, and dashboards for monitoring mission-critical systems.
Experience configuring and maintaining Aurora Postgres clusters in multi-region cloud deployments using Terraform.
Proficiency in troubleshooting, networking, and debugging Linux-based operating systems including Debian, Alpine, and Ubuntu.
Proficiency in automation and tooling using Git, Python (including boto3), and Bash shell scripting.
