What you'll do

  • Develop advanced datacenter infrastructure conceptual designs and prototype innovative technologies for the global portfolio.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to deliver building, power, cooling, telecom, and controls systems.
  • Oversee the execution of multiple datacenter conceptual design efforts concurrently.
  • Evaluate operational impacts, deployment challenges, and implementation issues for owned and leased facilities.
  • Create robust, scalable, and secure architecture solutions that account for industry and competitive threats.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to complex quality and design challenges using modeling tools.
  • Monitor project progress across multiple teams and proactively resolve design issues or resource gaps.
  • Conduct technical due diligence and identify potential intellectual property for patent filing.

What we're looking for

  • Master's Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering and 7+ years of technical engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering and 8+ years of technical engineering experience.
  • Equivalent experience to the above educational and experience requirements.
  • Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check every two years.
  • Must provide verification of citizenship with a valid passport to meet legal restrictions.
  • Background in critical facility design, architecture, engineering, and operational requirements.
  • Expertise in datacenter building design, master planning, systems analysis, cooling, network, and power distribution.
  • Doctorate in Electrical, Architecture, or Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of technical engineering experience (preferred).
