Principal Data Scientist, RDT Applied AI

What you'll do

• Translate ambiguous business challenges into robust AI/ML strategies for Pharma Commercial and R&D teams.
• Design and architect complex data science and AI solutions within a regulated healthcare environment.
• Promote the reuse of existing AI platforms and identify technical gaps to influence the enterprise roadmap.
• Ensure all AI architectures comply with healthcare data privacy and regulatory requirements like GxP.
• Provide architectural oversight and strategic guidance to data scientists executing end-to-end projects.
• Translate complex algorithmic processes and compliance requirements for non-technical senior business leaders.
• Develop bespoke analytical strategies to ensure the scalability and robustness of models in production.
• Advise on the integration of generative AI and machine learning to drive measurable business value.

What we're looking for

• Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a relevant discipline required.
• PhD is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of direct, related experience in Data Science working intimately with AI/ML technologies.
• Demonstrated familiarity with the pharma/healthcare environment and understanding of compliance, regulatory (GxP), and data privacy implications.
• Expert-level proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Python (essential) and R (preferred).
• In-depth understanding and hands-on capability with state-of-the-art machine learning, GenAI techniques, and experimental design.
• Experience in designing, promoting, and implementing enterprise-wide data science frameworks, platforms, and organizational best practices.
• Proven experience working closely with senior leadership to inform and consult on high-level strategic business decisions (preferred).
