Principal Data Scientist

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and monitor production-grade machine learning models and generative AI applications to improve IT operations.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and curated datasets on the Databricks platform.
• Architect and deliver self-service analytics and "chat with your data" experiences for business teams.
• Write and review production-quality Python, SQL, and Spark code while establishing MLOps best practices.
• Own the team's technical roadmap and drive architecture decisions for model selection and feature engineering.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts.
• Partner with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs and deliver measurable value.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Advanced Analytics in enterprise environments.
• 6+ years of experience developing production-quality solutions using Python, SQL, and Spark with software engineering best practices.
• 4+ years building scalable data pipelines and managing data quality, including at least 3 years with Databricks or a similar platform.
• 2+ years designing and deploying Generative AI solutions, including LLMs and AI agents, in enterprise environments.
• 3+ years leading or mentoring data scientists and engineers while translating complex business challenges into technical products.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience is required.
• Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field such as Computer Science or Statistics (preferred).
• Experience with MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and advanced data governance tools like Databricks Unity Catalog (preferred).
