Principal Applied AI Engineering Manager

What you'll do

• Hire, coach, and develop a team of Applied AI Engineers to build production AI services.
• Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of agentic AI services from specification to deployment.
• Define architecture patterns and set engineering standards for code quality and observability.
• Ensure deployed AI agents meet performance and safety standards through continuous improvement.
• Build evaluation systems with rubrics and golden datasets to validate agent correctness.
• Influence product roadmaps by translating customer support signals into engineering priorities.
• Embed responsible AI practices and compliance measures into all agent system architectures.

What we're looking for

• Over 6 years of experience in AI/ML system development using Python and C#.
• Proficiency in building production-level LLM-based systems, including prompt engineering and RAG architectures.
• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure) for microservices, containers, CI/CD.
• At least 3 years of people management or informal team leadership experience.
• Solid background in managing AI solutions such as chatbots and low-code/no-code platforms.
• Strong track record in defining technical direction and setting engineering standards for AI projects.
• Experience ensuring production-quality systems with TDD, CI/CD, staged rollouts, and observability.
