JOB TITLE: Principal AI Security Technologist
The Principal AI Security Technologist joins the security team to lead a major transformation of the company's security operations. This role involves owning the target-state AI and data architecture for converged security operations, including Physical Security, SOC/GSOC, Threat Intelligence, and Insider Risk. The technologist will build and scale AI agents and automation from pilot to production, moving manual processes toward technology-enhanced, intelligence-led capabilities. Key responsibilities include defining data models, integration patterns, and platform choices while managing multi-signal correlation to detect emerging threats. Required skills include experience with machine learning, advanced analytics, enterprise physical security systems, and cloud data platforms like data lakes or lakehouse architectures. The role solves the business problem of transitioning from reactive, rule-based alerting to proactive, risk-based assessment across diverse security domains.
Own and evolve the multi-year security transformation roadmap for physical security, SOC, threat intelligence, and insider risk.
Define and govern the target-state AI and data architecture to integrate disparate security systems into one ecosystem.
Scale AI agents and automation from pilot to production for tasks like triage, enrichment, and investigation.
Lead the transition from rule-based alerting to risk-based assessment using multi-signal correlation.
Define and track success metrics for workload reduction, detection accuracy, response speed, and risk visibility.
Retire legacy tools and manual workflows as new automated capabilities mature across the enterprise.
Mentor engineers and data scientists while representing the program's technical direction to senior leadership.
What we're looking for
10+ years in security technology, security engineering, or security operations, including significant time in an architect or technical lead role.
Hands-on experience applying AI agents, machine learning, or advanced analytics to security problems with at least one capability delivered to production.
Strong understanding of enterprise physical security systems, including access control, video management, intrusion, and alarm systems.
Experience designing data and integration architectures that bring together data from multiple operational systems.
Demonstrated ability to translate security risk and operational needs into technical solutions and lead multi-functional teams through delivery.
Experience with converged security, fusion-center operations, and high-security industrial environments, including semiconductor or manufacturing (preferred).
Experience deploying LLM-based agents in production, including evaluation, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop design (preferred).
Familiarity with cloud data platforms, data lakes, lakehouse architectures, and relevant certifications like CISSP, CPP, or PSP (preferred).
