Your work will ensure the safe deployment of GM’s AI-enabled ADS technologies on a large scale.

What you'll do

  • Lead development of AI safety strategies for autonomous driving systems.
  • Establish and maintain safety engineering guidance and sufficiency criteria.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand challenges and provide technical solutions.
  • Evaluate AI-related safety case evidence and verify sufficiency criteria are met.
  • Provide AI expertise and safety guidance across Global Product Safety activities.

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years of experience in AI/ML and engineering.
  • Deep expertise in machine learning and AI, including large-scale model development and end-to-end validation.
  • Understanding of ISO/PAS 8800, NIST AI Risk Management Framework, EU AI Act, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) for big data and ML operations.
  • Proven track record in providing technical safety leadership in AI/ML development and deployment.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, Java, PySpark, TensorFlow, and related frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working effectively in a team environment.
