Join the core AV software reliability team as a senior engineer responsible for ensuring safe, stable, and scalable Autonomous Vehicle (AV) software releases. You will work across the AV platform software stack, including frameworks, runtime, services, orchestration, and data pipelines, collaborating with AV software engineers, ML engineers, systems engineers, test platform owners, and release/safety stakeholders to improve learning velocity from failures and reduce reliability escapes. Key responsibilities include owning the AV software reliability triage framework, performing deep debugging and root-cause analysis, designing automated triage mechanisms, building reliability data pipelines, applying AI/ML for failure analysis, and translating findings into decision-grade communication. Required skills are proficiency in Python and SQL, experience with CI/CD systems, ETL/ELT pipelines, software reliability engineering concepts, and strong analytical and debugging skills. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with AV software architectures, cloud environments, observability tools, and AI/ML applications for log analysis and anomaly detection.

What you'll do
Own the AV software reliability triage framework for detecting, grouping, and escalating failures from various environments.
Perform deep debugging and root-cause analysis across AV platform code, ML pipelines, and vehicle hardware interfaces.
Design automated triage mechanisms to improve regression detection and signal-to-noise ratio in failure data.
Build and govern reliability data pipelines for ingesting logs, metrics, and test results from CI and on-road validation.
Apply AI/ML techniques to cluster failures, de-duplicate issues, and provide ownership suggestions across large-scale test runs.
What we're looking for
Strong proficiency in Python for automation, log analysis, data processing, and reliability tooling.
Proven experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for complex software systems.
Hands-on experience implementing ETL/ELT pipelines for reliability monitoring and dataset building.
Solid understanding of software reliability engineering concepts including regression tracking and flakiness detection.
Strong analytical skills in large-scale distributed or real-time software systems with C++ or Python-based services.
Track record of effective cross-functional collaboration with software engineering, QA, test platform, and systems teams.
