AV Safety Engineering Analytics AI/ML Engineer (GPSSC)

What you'll do

• Develop data analytics infrastructure for safety assurance in AV development.
• Validate the safety performance of AI/ML-based automated driving systems.
• Mentor team members on implementing AI/ML for safety assurance needs.
• Pilot metrics and sufficiency criteria for monitoring development operations.
• Leverage internal and external data sources for AI/ML-based safety monitoring.
• Implement cloud-based continuous up-time analytics solutions for driving performance.
• Contribute to defining GM’s data sourcing strategy for AV safety assurance.

What we're looking for

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in large-scale vehicle data analysis and 5+ years in safety-critical AI/ML systems for automotive engineering.
• Extensive experience with machine learning techniques including deep learning, reinforcement learning, NLP, and various ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow.
• Expertise in cloud-based big data processing using Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform technologies.
• Proven track record of technical leadership in AI/ML for safety-critical systems and involvement in public discourse through conferences or publications.
• Strong skills in deployment and MLOps including CI/CD pipelines, MLflow, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
