Principal AI Engineer II

What you'll do

• Define and advance AI engineering strategy, architecture, standards, and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Architect and build secure, scalable, and reusable AI platforms, services, and developer tools for enterprise adoption.
• Manage the full lifecycle of production-grade AI solutions from initial prototyping through deployment and monitoring.
• Integrate AI platforms with AWS services and existing enterprise data, security, and infrastructure environments.
• Establish operational practices for testing, versioning, release management, observability, and incident response.
• Ensure compliance with GxP, data integrity, privacy, and cybersecurity requirements in a regulated environment.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and lead innovation efforts to move proof-of-concepts into sustainable production capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and promote technical knowledge sharing across the organization.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree with 9 years experience, Master's with 8 years, or PhD with 4 years in a relevant technical field.
• Demonstrated experience designing, deploying, and operating production-scale AI and machine learning systems.
• Strong expertise in AI/platform engineering, including scalable platforms and reusable components.
• Proven experience building and supporting solutions using AWS systems and services.
• Proficiency in software and cloud engineering practices like CI/CD, containerization, and automated testing.
• Experience working in regulated environments such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industries.
• Strong understanding of risk management, data integrity, cybersecurity, and quality requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholders and communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
