As a Presale Systems Engineer at Motorola Solutions, you will join the dynamic Presales Engineering Team as an experienced professional, working closely with customers and sales teams to deliver cutting-edge end-to-end solutions for US Federal Government Civilian and Law Enforcement agencies. Your day-to-day responsibilities include discovering customer requirements, developing technology strategies, designing system architectures, creating proposals, giving technical presentations, and demonstrating equipment and software solutions. You will leverage your expertise in wireless communications fundamentals, voice/data architectures, cloud technologies, and IP networking to ensure that our mission-critical systems meet the stringent demands of public safety agencies. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Computer Engineering, along with experience in sales, pre-sales, project management, engineering, or public safety roles. You must be able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and build strong relationships with stakeholders, while also being willing to travel up to 25% of the time.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining necessary security clearance
  • Experience with wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data architectures (APCO P25, LTE, 802.11, 3GPP 4G/5G)
  • Knowledge of Cloud (FedRAMP), IP networking architecture, protocols, and security
  • Ability to present complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with RF coverage predictions, microwave design, traffic/capacity modeling, and related toolsets
