Pre-NTP Electrical Engineer

What you'll do

• Manage the development of electrical designs for CCGT power plants and other generation projects.
• Select and review major electrical equipment including transformers and switchgear.
• Review High Voltage, Medium Voltage, and Low Voltage systems for project requirements.
• Coordinate with T&D departments to ensure alignment between interconnection and overall electrical design.
• Develop technical specifications by collaborating with Owner’s Engineers and subject matter experts.
• Ensure all electrical designs maintain operational consistency and meet AES Indiana standards.
• Oversee the transition from initial feasibility studies through to the signing of EPC contracts.
• Provide safety leadership across all aspects of the project lifecycle.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in electrical engineering or another relevant technical area.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in electrical design and/or construction.
• Proven experience in technical design for large CCGT and other generation projects.
• Proficiency in applicable electrical codes and standards for large power generation projects.
• Experience reading and understanding project schedules and principles.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Construction and commissioning experience for conventional generation (fossil fuel) projects (preferred).
• Work authorization.
