Power Electronics Engineer, High Voltage

What you'll do

• Own the full hardware lifecycle from conceptual design through high-volume production and ground station operation.
• Design, analyze, and rigorously test DC-DC power converters capable of operating in harsh environments.
• Develop power supplies capable of supporting tens of kilovolts and hundreds of watts.
• Perform electrical power system trade studies to optimize performance, efficiency, and reliability.
• Execute comprehensive verification testing and analysis for electrical power systems.
• Rapidly iterate on designs and test data to inform high-level systems trades and product direction.
• Integrate power electronics with digital embedded devices, analog sensing, and system controls.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or another STEM discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in power converter development through professional work, projects, or research.
• Experience working with magnetics and the design of custom transformers and inductors, including planar magnetics.
• Experience in modeling, simulation, and testing of power electronics.
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Demonstrated full-cycle ownership of a hardware project from concept to implementation (preferred).
• Strong grasp of analog control, discrete logic design, DC-DC topologies, and voltage/current mode control (preferred).
• U.S. citizenship, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligibility to obtain required Department of State authorizations.
