Hardware Development Engineer, Power (Starlink) joins the Power Electronics team to design and develop power conversion and control systems for Starlink satellites and ground systems. What you'll do

Design, analyze, and test DC-DC power converters for harsh environments.
Perform design trades and develop requirements for electrical power systems and subsystems.
Define and execute verification testing and analysis for electrical power systems.
Develop new power electronics hardware in coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Select optimal architectures and components for various DC-DC topologies.
Design for fault tolerance, reliability, and radiation effects in spacecraft environments.
Perform modeling, simulation, and lab measurements for power electronics components.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or another STEM discipline.
At least 1 year of professional experience in power converter development.
Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
Experience in modeling, simulation, and testing of power electronics.
Proficiency in analog control, discrete logic design, and DC-DC topologies.
Knowledge of AC-DC converters, power factor correction, and radiation effects on spacecraft systems.
Familiarity with lithium-ion battery handling and solar array input power sources.
Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible for required export control authorizations.
