What you'll do

  • Define and evolve multi-year power control architectures across various product lines.
  • Design classical, modern, and data-driven control algorithms for battery, thermal, and performance constraints.
  • Guide algorithm implementation from initial concept through deployment in embedded systems.
  • Analyze real-world performance and power data to identify improvements in architecture and algorithms.
  • Explore predictive and machine-learning-informed approaches for power allocation.
  • Review and approve control system designs across the entire power control domain.
  • Mentor engineers and establish technical direction for the power control systems team.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor of Science degree.
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, Bash, and/or Python.
  • Experience with control system design in areas such as Classical Control Theory, Modern Control Theory, System Identification, Estimation Theory, Signal Processing, or multi-timescale constraint handling.
  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (preferred).
  • 20+ years of relevant industry experience (preferred).
  • Experience implementing control systems in embedded microcontroller environments (preferred).
  • Experience applying data-driven or machine-learning approaches to power allocation, predictive analytics, or constraint prediction (preferred).
  • Experience with multi-timescale or hierarchical constraint-handling techniques in real-time control systems (preferred).
