This position addresses critical technical hurdles in manufacturing equipment by ensuring high-quality system integration and performance monitoring within the semiconductor production environment.

What you'll do

  • Lead and execute systems engineering projects for plasma etch systems from concept to production deployment.
  • Develop and optimize algorithms for automation and advanced control of RF Power, Pulsed Voltage, Flow, and Temperature subsystems.
  • Identify and address gaps in sensor technologies required to diagnose equipment performance in production environments.
  • Build and qualify prototypes of new designs or procure and test outsourced subsystems for compliance with specifications.
  • Implement solutions combining classical mathematical algorithms with deep learning approaches to solve productivity challenges.
  • Analyze requirements and define system architectures to ensure seamless integration of subsystems.
  • Conduct thorough testing to identify and mitigate risks while ensuring systems meet high quality standards.

What we're looking for

  • PhD or Master's degree in Engineering or Physics.
  • Demonstrated expertise in RF/DC Plasma Systems, Plasma Sensing, or Algorithm Development.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the semiconductor equipment industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using MATLAB, Python, or similar tools.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary R&D environment involving software, hardware, and algorithms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to influence various stakeholders.
