The Planning & Deployment Engineer serves as the critical technical-readiness link between program management, engineering, low-voltage vendors, and field deployment teams. Key responsibilities include tracking project milestones, managing design change requests, and developing scalable processes to improve deployment quality. You will solve complex logistical hurdles to ensure seamless capacity delivery within the data center environment through proactive risk mitigation and cross-functional collaboration.

What you'll do

Conduct comprehensive technical reviews of project requirements, hardware lists, and documentation before field execution.
Identify and resolve technical gaps, material issues, and dependencies to prevent downstream deployment delays.
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data center projects from initial intake through final capacity delivery.
Coordinate RFQ activities and manage low-voltage vendors to ensure they meet quality and schedule commitments.
Evaluate Design Change Requests for impact on materials, schedules, and resources while updating project plans.
Track milestones, risks, and blockers across multiple concurrent projects to ensure timely completion.
Develop scalable processes and automated workflows to improve deployment quality and reduce manual effort.

What we're looking for

Must have 5+ years of experience in data center, telecommunications, or low-voltage infrastructure deployments.
Must have 5+ years of structured cabling infrastructure experience including copper and optical fiber deployment methodologies.
Ability to review and validate technical documentation such as cut sheets, patching matrices, Bills of Materials, and rack layouts.
Knowledge of network infrastructure, connectivity, networking layers, and testing/validation methodologies.
Experience coordinating or managing low-voltage vendors and contractors in complex deployment environments.
Strong project management skills including scoping, scheduling, dependency management, resource planning, and risk management.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while prioritizing effectively as requirements change.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical issues and status to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
