As a Physical Design Methodology CAD Engineer within the Hardware Technology CAD team, you will contribute to the development of next-generation, high-performance, and power-efficient system-on-chip designs. Your daily responsibilities involve developing, maintaining, and supporting implementation flows for multiple projects while creating custom CAD tools for signoff. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and EDA tool vendors to improve PPA and design productivity by exploring new technology nodes and standard cells. The role specifically involves building internal methodologies using CAD algorithms and machine learning, as well as leveraging GenAI tools to develop applications that enhance team efficiency. To succeed, you must be proficient in Tcl, Python, or Perl scripting languages. You will address complex physical design challenges including extraction, timing, noise, physical verification, and EMIR for CPU, GPU, and Analog/Mixed Signal designs.
