Phone System Design Engineer, Power Modeling

What you'll do

• Develop system power consumption and usage models for various customer scenarios.
• Publish system-level power estimates to drive battery life and thermal design discussions.
• Own system-level power validation throughout the product development cycle.
• Perform hands-on lab investigations using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
• Debug power-related issues to identify specific power-saving opportunities.
• Analyze next-generation hardware metrics with cross-functional teams.
• Process and analyze large datasets to develop and improve power modeling methodologies.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of system architecture power and performance metrics for computer technologies, battery-powered devices, and power electronics.
• Hands-on lab experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, analog circuits, and prototype rework.
• Proficiency in automation, programming, and scripting using tools like Matlab or Python.
• Ability to process and analyze large datasets for power model development.
• Experience in hardware or software power analysis and optimization.
• Familiarity with battery modeling, management concepts, and feedback/control systems.
• Understanding of statistical tools for field data analysis and familiarity with LLM-based tools.
