Key technical requirements include deep SQL expertise, experience with relational databases, containerization, and Python libraries such as NumPy and pandas. The role focuses on the employee lifecycle by creating ETL pipelines, defining consistent metrics, and re-engineering reporting systems to improve data integrity and security within a complex reporting estate.

What you'll do

  • Build and optimize data models, schemas, and views in Snowflake and relational databases.
  • Develop Python backends, APIs, and web frontends to power internal people tools.
  • Build and operate ETL pipelines including scheduling, incremental refresh, and data-integrity validation.
  • Automate build, containerization, deployment, and configuration management across Linux infrastructure.
  • Deliver engineering work using agentic AI coding tools as the primary development method.
  • Establish and own metric definitions to ensure consistent reporting across all platforms.
  • Maintain technical documentation and codebase context for both human colleagues and AI tooling.
  • Re-engineer existing analytics systems to improve simplicity, standardization, and security.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience developing and maintaining analytics products, reports, and dashboards.
  • Deep SQL and Snowflake experience including schema design, query optimization, and ETL pipeline construction.
  • Python experience across backend web services, APIs, and data-processing automation.
  • Hands-on Linux experience operating servers via SSH, managing long-lived services, and diagnosing system issues.
  • Container experience involving image builds, deployment, and troubleshooting networking and storage.
  • Daily production experience with agentic AI coding tools like Claude Code to develop and review code.
  • Experience handling sensitive personal data under row-level security and access restrictions.
  • Experience defining metrics with business partners (preferred).
  • Experience working with senior leaders to present findings to non-technical partners (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Flask, FastAPI, NumPy, pandas, or statistical analysis techniques (preferred).
  • Experience building services for AI tooling like Model Context Protocol servers (preferred).
