Payments Systems Analyst

What you'll do

• Lead business and domain analysis for the Payments Exchange Wires Platform focusing on Fedwire and ISO 20022.
• Develop epics, features, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria from regulatory and payment network requirements.
• Evaluate end-to-end wire payment processing needs including initiation, validation, routing, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Define ISO 20022 message requirements, business rules, data mappings, and processing outcomes for payment flows.
• Partner with architects and developers to clarify requirements and validate intended business outcomes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives to support predictable delivery.
• Support functional and user acceptance testing through scenario definition, traceability, and defect analysis.

What we're looking for

• Must possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization.
• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or payments subject-matter expert in banking or financial services.
• 6+ years of experience analyzing high-value or wire payment lifecycles, including settlement, returns, investigations, and reconciliation.
• 6+ years of experience with Fedwire Funds Service processing, including message flows and exception scenarios.
• 6+ years of experience with ISO 20022 payment messaging, including structures, data elements, and mapping.
• 6+ years of experience creating requirements, user stories, process models, and testable acceptance criteria for integrated platforms.
• 6+ years of experience working in Agile product development teams with engineering, architecture, and quality assurance functions.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
