Payload Launch Control System Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and develop payload launch control and handling systems for Virginia, SSNX, and AUKUS class submarines.
• Define system requirements and develop technical specifications for mission-critical electronic control systems.
• Create comprehensive test plans and procedures for the qualification of complex payload platforms.
• Develop engineering drawings and provide oversight for external vendors during the production process.
• Manage the end-to-end production process for weapon and payload handling systems.
• Integrate and support the modernization of vertical Tomahawk missile and horizontal ADCAP torpedo systems.
• Implement AI/ML, cybersecurity, and common compute environments into evolving electronic control systems.
• Provide deckplate construction support and fleet support for existing payload systems.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• 5+ years of post-graduate engineering experience with electronic control systems.
• Knowledge of US Navy Combat Systems (preferred).
• Experience with CMMI and Systems Engineering Principles (preferred).
• Electrical and Computer Engineering degree (preferred).
• Master of Science degree in Engineering (preferred).
