What you'll do

  • Design, implement, and manage database assets in cloud environments using enterprise automation and monitoring tools.
  • Customize cloud systems to meet specific requirements for performance, maintenance, and security.
  • Automate infrastructure as code provisioning for Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, and other PaaS databases.
  • Establish best practices and standards for PaaS database automation.
  • Collaborate with database subject matter experts to define automation standards and provision environments.
  • Manage cloud orchestration and monitoring systems to ensure operational stability.
  • Implement ITIL v3 standards, procedures, and policies within the database environment.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor degree and 6 years of IT experience, or Technical Certification/College Courses and 7 years of IT experience, or 9 years of IT experience.
  • Experience with Azure SQL databases and Azure SQL Managed Instances.
  • Experience with automation tools including Ansible and Harness.
  • Experience with As a Service technologies, Cloud Orchestration, Management, Monitoring, and Event Management technologies.
  • Experience with Operations Management, ITIL v3, and IT standards, procedures, and policies.
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related fields (preferred).
  • Experience setting up automation for infrastructure as code provisioning of various PaaS databases (preferred).
  • Development experience in languages such as C#, Java, or Python; and experience with Azure networking and security (preferred).
