The Oracle Database Analyst Sr Principal joins the IT Infrastructure and Operations team to support critical USSTRATCOM missions involving strategic deterrence and nuclear operations. In this role, you will perform the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle database systems to ensure high performance and availability. Daily responsibilities include designing database schemas, monitoring health, performing routine backups, and managing user permissions. You will troubleshoot complex issues, optimize queries, and manage security compliance for mission-critical data. The position requires proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle database administration, with specific experience in Data Guard, RAC, Multitenant, ASM, and OEM. You will also handle patch management and stay current on Oracle updates to support 24/7 IT services across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments.

What you'll do

  • Manage patches and stay current with the latest Oracle technology updates.

What we're looking for

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must currently possess a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Must have 8+ years of related experience.
  • Must possess technical training or equivalent experience.
  • Must have expertise in Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, and tuning.
  • Must be proficient in SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Must be able to perform performance monitoring, optimization, backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery planning.
  • Must have Cloud+, Security+, SSCP, or GSEC certifications (required within 9 months of start); ITIL 4 Foundation certified (preferred).
