As an Oracle Database Analyst Sr Principal, you will join a team supporting critical national security infrastructure for USSTRATCOM. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle database systems to ensure high performance, security, and availability. Your daily work involves designing and implementing database schemas, monitoring health, performing routine backups, and managing user permissions while troubleshooting complex issues and optimizing queries. To succeed, you must possess proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle administration, with experience in patch management and disaster-recovery planning. The role utilizes technologies including Data Guard, RAC, Multitenant, ASM, OEM, OUD, and Ansible. You will solve technical challenges within a high-stakes environment involving nuclear operations and strategic deterrence, ensuring the integrity of mission-critical data across various secure networks to support essential defense and intelligence capabilities.

What you'll do

Install, configure, maintain, and optimize Oracle database systems to ensure high performance and availability.
Design and implement database schemas while monitoring overall system health.
Perform routine backups and execute recovery operations to safeguard mission-critical data.
Troubleshoot database issues and perform root-cause analysis to resolve technical problems.
Manage user access, permissions, and security compliance according to organizational policies.
Optimize SQL queries and database performance to enhance system efficiency.
Manage patches and stay current on Oracle technology updates and advancements.

What we're looking for

Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Must have 8 or more years of related experience and technical training.
Must possess skills in Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, tuning, and security management.
Must be proficient in SQL and PL/SQL.
Must be able to obtain ITIL 4 Foundation certification within 9 months of start.
Cloud+, Security+, SSCP, or GSEC certifications are required.
Experience with Data Guard, RAC, Multitenant, ASM, OEM (preferred); OUD and Ansible (preferred).
