What you'll do

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle database environments to ensure high availability and data integrity.
  • Manage Oracle GoldenGate configurations, troubleshooting, and ongoing support for production systems.
  • Migrate Oracle databases into AWS-managed RDS environments using services like EC2, S3, and Lambda.
  • Perform hands-on database development including data modeling, PL/SQL development, and performance tuning.
  • Implement and manage Oracle failover technologies such as Data Guard and RAC.
  • Develop and contribute to policies and procedures to ensure database security and integrity.
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to provide production support and resolve issues.
  • Validate AI-generated database recommendations using domain knowledge before applying them to production systems.

What we're looking for

  • Experience managing Oracle databases in production environments, Oracle GoldenGate, and migrating databases into AWS-managed RDS.
  • Experience with Oracle failover technologies such as Oracle Data Guard, RAC, or high-availability solutions.
  • Experience managing AWS-managed RDS instances and services including EC2, S3, Lambda, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, Database Insights, and EventBridge.
  • Experience with hands-on database development, including data modeling, PL/SQL development, performance tuning, and SQL*Plus.
  • Experience with scripting in both Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with GitHub, JIRA, VS Code, Toad, and Confluence.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
