What you'll do

  • Manage daily operations and monitoring for a large-scale federal IT infrastructure serving 1,500 users.
  • Lead major incident management, including outage response, escalation coordination, and rapid service restoration.
  • Execute ITIL-based processes for change management, problem resolution, and service transitions.
  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of cloud, network, server, storage, and cybersecurity services.
  • Direct a geographically distributed team of infrastructure professionals and manage subcontractor activities.
  • Provide operational metrics, trend analysis, and status reports to senior government stakeholders and executives.
  • Coordinate security investigations, vulnerability remediations, and compliance audits with information system security officers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for infrastructure architecture, standard operating procedures, and asset inventories.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 12+ years of experience managing enterprise IT operations and incident response in complex environments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an FTC Position of Trust clearance.
  • Experience managing ITIL-based processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Transition Management.
  • Experience supporting hybrid and cloud-based infrastructure environments.
  • Strong understanding of networking, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud services, and cybersecurity operations.
  • Ability to work onsite in Washington, D.C. at least two days per week.
  • Current ITIL 4 Specialist: Create, Deliver and Support (CDS) certification or willingness to obtain within six months (preferred); experience supporting federal civilian agencies; experience leading cloud transformation or data center migrations (preferred).
