The Network Security Specialist Senior (SWG) joins the Edge&Network Security team to lead the organization's Zero Trust transformation journey across a global enterprise environment. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable security controls for internet access, private application access, SSL inspection, traffic steering, and threat prevention. The specialist serves as a senior technical authority and escalation point for complex issues involving SASE, Proxy, and Secure Web Gateway architectures. Key technologies include Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA) and Palo Alto Networks platforms, including Panorama, NGFW, Threat Prevention, and Prisma Access. Candidates must possess expert knowledge of TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, routing, NAT, certificates, and identity-aware access. The role focuses on modernizing secure access platforms while driving operational excellence through automation, telemetry improvements, and SIEM integration to ensure resilient, scalable security services for the global network infrastructure.
Lead the organization's Zero Trust transformation and strategic direction for SASE, SWG, and Proxy services.
Manage the architecture and engineering of Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA) and Palo Alto Networks platforms across a global enterprise.
Design and optimize security controls for internet access, SSL inspection, traffic steering, and threat prevention.
Improve platform reliability through automation, telemetry improvements, SIEM integration, and data-driven performance metrics.
Manage high-quality change management processes including rollout planning, risk mitigation, and post-implementation reviews.
Serve as the senior technical authority and final escalation point for complex issues and major incidents.
Mentor engineers and partner with cross-functional teams to establish best practices and improve operational maturity.
What we're looking for
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
Bachelor's degree in a related field and 12+ years of experience, or equivalent practical experience.
Extensive experience in network security and security engineering within large-scale enterprise environments.
Deep hands-on expertise with Zscaler technologies (ZIA/ZPA) and Secure Access architectures including SWG, Proxy, SASE, and Zero Trust.
Strong experience with Palo Alto security platforms, including Panorama, NGFW, Threat Prevention, and Prisma Access.
Expert-level knowledge of networking and security fundamentals such as TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, routing, NAT, certificates, and cloud networking.
Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale security initiatives, influence architecture, and serve as a senior escalation point for major incidents.
Experience with automation (Terraform, Python, APIs), WAF technologies, multi-cloud architectures, or relevant certifications like CISSP or PCNSE (preferred).
