Lead Network Engineer joins the Global Network Engineering team to transition the organization toward identity-centric, automated network architectures. This role focuses on shifting from traditional perimeter-based networking to a modern Zero Trust Architecture and Infrastructure as Code model. To drive automation, you will utilize Python, Ansible, and Terraform to build CI/CD pipelines and eliminate manual configuration drift. You will also manage cloud networking in AWS and GCP environments using tools like Checkmk. This role requires expertise in BGP routing, SD-WAN, and wireless design to ensure a resilient global infrastructure.

What you'll do

  • Architect and deploy global Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions to replace traditional perimeter VPNs.
  • Design and enforce identity-based microsegmentation policies across data centers and corporate offices.
  • Manage the SASE roadmap to provide secure, policy-driven access for distributed workforces and cloud workloads.
  • Automate network operations and deployments using Python, Ansible, and Terraform as part of an Infrastructure as Code model.
  • Maintain a centralized Network Source of Truth (SoT) to serve as the programmatic foundation for all configurations.
  • Manage and optimize F5 BIG-IP devices for application delivery, load balancing, and security.
  • Oversee physical and virtual infrastructure including Arista switches, Meraki access points, and SD-WAN solutions.
  • Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical leadership to foster team growth.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in large-scale enterprise network engineering with a focus on automation and cloud implementation.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Palo Alto Networks firewalls (PAN-OS, Panorama) and advanced features.
  • Proven programming skills in Python, Ansible, and Terraform for infrastructure as code and network automation.
  • Deep knowledge of BGP routing in global multi-circuit environments and cloud-native networking constructs in AWS and GCP.
  • Experience with Arista EOS, Meraki devices, Silverpeak SD-WAN, and F5 BIG-IP LTM/DNS/APM.
  • Proficiency in wireless network design and implementation using Meraki Wi-Fi.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as PCNSE, CCIE, CCNP, or Meraki certifications are highly desirable.
