As a Network Operations Senior System Administrator, you will join the IT Infrastructure and Operations team to provide 24/7 time-sensitive incident response for the US BICES-X program. You will ensure the stability and integrity of in-house information systems by monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing networked software. Your daily responsibilities include administering VMware virtual environments including ESXi hosts and vCenter appliances, managing Microsoft Active Directory environments with Windows Server, Exchange, SharePoint, and SQL components, and performing SCCM configurations. You will develop PowerShell or VBScript scripts to automate tasks, deploy security policies to meet DISA standards, and manage Windows 10 updates. The role requires expertise in infrastructure design, load balancing, firewall rules, and performance tuning to support intelligence information sharing on global threats. Required skills include experience with data center operations, server hardware, and virtual desktop infrastructure.

What you'll do

  • Administer VMware virtual environments including ESXi hosts, vCenter appliances, VxRail HCIs, and VSANs.
  • Manage Microsoft Active Directory environments including Group Policy, DNS configuration, and Site Services.
  • Deploy and manage Windows Server, Exchange, SharePoint, and SQL Server systems.
  • Develop PowerShell or VBScript scripts to automate routine administration tasks and gather metrics.
  • Implement security policies and updates to ensure compliance with DISA standards like STIGs and IAVAs.
  • Perform 24/7 incident response to maintain the stability and integrity of networked software.
  • Manage SCCM configurations, software deployments, and Windows 10 operating system maintenance.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for systems and equipment.

What we're looking for

  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance.
  • 10+ years of experience is required.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with infrastructure including data center operations, server hardware, Windows OS, web servers, VDI, VMware virtualization, networking, storage, and monitoring.
  • Experience in infrastructure design and operations including load balancing, firewall rules, failover, and performance tuning.
  • Must meet DoD 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access.
  • US Citizenship.
