The Network Engineer SME will join the IT Infrastructure and Operations team to support USINDOPACOM J6 mission outcomes. Required technical skills include enterprise network engineering, routing and switching, network modernization, WAN/LAN design, and secure enclave connectivity. The position requires 8+ years of experience in a DoD or enterprise IT environment to solve complex networking challenges for mission partners and service components in a multi-enclave environment.

What you'll do

Support IT modernization projects from requirements definition through planning, integration, testing, and transition.
Mature prototypes, modernization sprints, and enterprise capability improvements with technical teams.
Develop and review network designs, implementation plans, diagrams, and technical documentation.
Troubleshoot complex network issues and coordinate resolutions across engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams.
Resolve technical challenges with USINDOPACOM J6 stakeholders, service components, and mission partners.
Prepare technical documentation, briefings, status inputs, and recommendations for customer and internal leadership.

What we're looking for

Must be a US Citizen.
Must currently possess or be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
Must have 8+ years of relevant experience supporting a DoD or enterprise IT environment.
Must possess skills in enterprise network engineering, routing and switching, and network modernization.
Must have experience with WAN/LAN design, secure enclave connectivity, and technical documentation.
Must possess strong communication, analytical problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
Experience supporting USINDOPACOM, combatant command, or joint/coalition mission environments (preferred).
Experience working in government site environments and coordinating with military and civilian stakeholders (preferred).
