What you'll do

Design, build, and implement network systems for LAN, MAN, and WAN environments.
Monitor and diagnose network issues while performing root-cause analysis to resolve connectivity problems.
Analyze traffic patterns and provide capacity planning solutions to support infrastructure growth.
Coordinate with vendor support services to ensure timely resolution of outages and performance issues.
Perform system-level design and configuration for hardware, operating systems, and platform specifications.
Evaluate and test new network products and technologies against organizational standards.
Provide technical oversight for security protocols and systems integration across all network operations.
Create and maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
5 years of related experience in network infrastructure and systems.
10 years of professional experience in network engineering, infrastructure design, and troubleshooting.
Must possess a DOE Q or TS security clearance.
US Citizenship is required.
Deep knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, wireless technologies, and network design principles.
Expertise in protocols including TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, OSPF, and BGP.
Understanding of network security practices, system hardening, and compliance with organizational standards.
