JOB TITLE: Network & Cloud Architecture Engineer The Network & Cloud Architecture Engineer joins the IT Infrastructure and Operations team to manage the design, performance, and upkeep of enterprise-wide area network, campus area network, and multi-cloud infrastructure environments. This role involves architecting scalable, secure cloud-native environments using AWS and Azure while ensuring low-latency connectivity between on-premises networks and cloud infrastructures. Daily responsibilities include overseeing physical networking devices, virtual private clouds, cloud gateways, routers, switches, and cryptographic devices. The engineer provides troubleshooting for core and remote locations, enforces military security practices, and performs capacity planning for ISR capabilities. Key skills include cloud integrations, network architecture, and routing. The position specifically supports the 480th Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance Wing Security Office and the Distributed Common Ground System Architecture to solve complex technical challenges.

What you'll do

Architect and manage scalable, secure cloud-native environments across AWS, Azure, or hybrid multi-cloud platforms.
Oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of physical networking devices, VPCs, routers, and switches.
Troubleshoot and resolve network and cloud connectivity issues across core, cloud-hosted, and remote locations.
Enforce government and military security protocols while generating Network Service Requests and Ports, Protocols, and Services Requests.
Evaluate workload requirements to determine bandwidth, cloud compute/storage demands, and performance baselines for ISR capabilities.
Lead the installation, configuration, and migration of CAN/WAN equipment and cloud resources.
Maintain comprehensive architectural diagrams, cloud design documents, and network baselines.
Review enterprise and cloud integration efforts to identify technical risks and provide optimization strategies to leadership.

What we're looking for

US Citizenship is required.
Must currently possess a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
BA/BS degree is required.
7+ years of network engineering and integration experience is required.
2 years of cloud integration experience is required.
5+ years of related experience is required.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Cloud+ and CompTIA Security+ certifications are required.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (preferred).
Working knowledge of AF DCGS and AF ISR operations (preferred).
