Network Automation Engineer - Federal Customer will join a diverse team of software and platform engineers to design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure while ensuring performance, stability, and scalability for enterprise IT workloads. The role focuses on automating the deployment and support of critical network infrastructure by interacting with networking hardware like switches, routers, and firewalls alongside software-defined control planes. Create and implement network changes through automated workflows and scripts.

What we're looking for
Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
Extensive experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting large-scale enterprise WAN architectures using BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, and overlay networks.
Proven track record configuring and managing enterprise-grade SD-WAN platforms including Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN, Fortinet, VMware Velocloud, or Silver Peak.
Proficiency in developing production automation scripts and configuration frameworks using Python and Ansible with experience in REST APIs, NETCONF/RESTCONF, and JSON/YAML.
Strong background implementing secure transport connectivity, including IPsec site-to-site tunnels, MACsec, Next-Gen Firewall policies, and QoS traffic shaping.
Experience with SONiC, Cumulus Network Operating System (NOS), and rail-optimized technology.
Experience with Kubernetes networking concepts, CNI, and MetalLB Operator for load balancing.
Experience with Terraform/GitOps, model-driven telemetry, cloud integration (AWS/Azure), or advanced certifications like Cisco DevNet Professional (preferred).
