Modeling, Simulation & Analysis Engineer, HITL Focus

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL) simulation infrastructure for complex aerospace systems.
• Develop and maintain high-fidelity virtual representations of various vehicles and sub-systems.
• Own the end-to-end configuration and operation of SITL and HITL environments for test vehicles.
• Coordinate and execute HITL test campaigns to validate GNC algorithms and mission autonomy software.
• Develop emulated interfaces for on-board avionics systems to enable closed-loop hardware testing.
• Troubleshoot real-time simulation issues including timing constraints, hardware interfaces, and model fidelity.
• Perform Monte-Carlo simulation analysis and develop tools for simulation and test data analysis.
• Support flight test operations through pre-flight simulation validation and post-flight data correlation.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
• 8 or more years of experience in Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis engineering for a Senior role.
• 3 or more years of experience in Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis engineering for a Modeling Simulation Engineer role.
• Experience with aerospace/aeronautical systems (including rotorcraft/VTOL) and/or subsea vehicles.
• Experience in flight dynamics, platform physics, and control.
• Nominal proficiency with C/C++.
• Advanced proficiency with scientific computing systems including Mathworks products and scientific Python.
• Experience with flight test data processing, sim correlation, and developing sub-system and system level models.
• Hands-on experience with HITL or SITL simulation operations, including test setup, execution, and debugging.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
• Advanced proficiency with C/C++ (preferred).
• Flight test support experience, including on-site operations and real-time troubleshooting (preferred).
• Extensive experience with SITL and HITL simulation infrastructure design, development, and deployment for complex systems (preferred).
• Experience developing emulated/simulation interfaces for on-board avionics, including CAN, Ethernet, and serial protocols (preferred).
• Experience deploying and operating real-time simulation environments like NI/Speedgoat or dSPACE (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to own and operate HITL labs supporting multiple concurrent flight test programs (preferred).
