As a Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer, you will join an agile team to develop efficient, production-ready software solutions from initial vision through implementation. You will be responsible for analyzing environments to ensure systems align with current architectures while accounting for future functionality and enhancements. Your daily work involves writing source code for new applications, enhancing existing code samples, and solving complex problems in a collaborative environment. The role requires proficiency in C++, modeling and simulation frameworks such as AFSIM, EAAGLES, or FLAMES, and engines like Unreal or RavEngine. You will also utilize automated testing tools, perform pre- or post-processing scripting for large data sets, and manage data modeling architecture. This position focuses on the technical domain of modeling and simulation, specifically involving radar, sensors, and aircraft systems to solve complex engineering problems.
Develop end-to-end software solutions from initial vision to production-ready systems.
Write and implement source code for new applications using C++.
Design and modify modeling and simulation frameworks like AFSIM, EAAGLES, or FLAMES.
Analyze system architectures to ensure compatibility with current environments and future enhancements.
Create scripts for pre-processing and post-processing large data sets.
Automate workflows to resolve complex problems and optimize processes.
Perform testing and maintenance using automated testing tools.
What we're looking for
5+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using Agile methods.
3+ years of experience working with C++.
Experience with modeling and simulation frameworks.
Experience writing source code for new applications or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications.
Experience creating solutions to complex problems in a collaborative team environment.
Experience with Simulation Models, including Radar, Sensors, or Aircraft (preferred); pre- or post-processing scripting for large data sets (preferred).
