Member of Technical Staff, Robotics Data

What you'll do

• Define and implement data collection strategies for robot learning, including coverage requirements and quality standards.
• Build and maintain data curation pipelines to ensure robotics datasets are clean, validated, labeled, and versioned.
• Develop frameworks to quantify dataset characteristics and identify gaps that impact model performance.
• Create interactive data visualization tools to explore dataset properties and model training metrics.
• Apply statistical techniques to analyze robot performance data and inform model architecture decisions.
• Write efficient Python code for data processing, analysis, and visualization with professional documentation.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field plus 5+ years of data-science experience or higher-level degree with fewer years of experience.
• Experience managing structured and unstructured robotics data, applying statistical techniques, and reporting results.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI, Plotly, D3.js for building interactive dashboards.
• Familiarity with large-scale data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Azure Data Factory.
• Understanding of machine learning model evaluation methodologies including benchmark design and ablation studies.
• Knowledge of data governance practices, versioning systems (DVC, MLflow), and quality assurance for training datasets.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure data and AI toolset or equivalent cloud platforms.
