What you'll do

Execute tensile, compression, and other mechanical tests following ASTM or ISO standards.
Machine, measure, label, and track test specimens to maintain full traceability.
Capture and record high-quality data to ensure results are analysis-ready for engineers.
Perform routine equipment upkeep, calibration checks, and consumable management to maximize lab uptime.
Manage a queue of work and prioritize tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain a safe, organized laboratory while following all material-handling and safety protocols.

What we're looking for

Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience in materials, mechanical, or manufacturing testing.
3+ years of hands-on experience operating servo-hydraulic or electromechanical load frames.
Experience with specimen preparation, machining, precision measurement, and test fixturing.
Working knowledge of standardized test methods such as ASTM or ISO.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
Experience with fatigue, fracture, or other advanced mechanical testing (preferred).
Experience testing advanced materials like composites, high-temperature alloys, or additively-manufactured parts (preferred).
Familiarity with metallography, data acquisition systems, or equipment calibration and maintenance (preferred).
