Manufacturing Specialist, Space

What you'll do

• Assemble flight and non-flight hardware while ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards.
• Construct test racks and electrical ground support equipment for integration and testing.
• Support PCBA, unit-level avionics, and vehicle-level build and test campaigns.
• Develop processes for electrical tests, checkouts, and mechanical assembly.
• Investigate and resolve non-conformances to provide feedback for continuous improvement.
• Use precision measuring instruments to ensure components meet specific technical requirements.
• Interpret schematics and provide feedback to engineering teams to improve designs.
• Perform soldering and electrical troubleshooting to diagnose and fix hardware issues.

What we're looking for

• Must have 4+ years of experience in aerospace, aviation, military, or other high-reliability industries.
• Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is required.
• Must hold or be able to acquire certifications such as IPC-A-620, IPC-A-610, NASA 8739-4, J-STD-001, or equivalent.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Proficiency in mechanical and electrical assembly, precision measuring, soldering, and electrical troubleshooting is required.
• Ability to interpret schematics and use various power and hand tools is required.
• Preferred experience includes working with satellites, spacecraft hardware, avionics, and electro-optical instruments.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another technical discipline is preferred.
