Manager, Threat Protection Services

What you'll do

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Threat Strategy Managers to ensure technical excellence and professional growth.
• Manage the hiring, development, and retention of high-quality technical talent for the threat strategy team.
• Develop and assign performance goals aligned with corporate objectives to manage team output effectively.
• Act as an internal advocate for customers by managing support interactions and resolving high-level escalations.
• Create "get-well" plans for at-risk accounts to improve customer satisfaction and ensure contract retention.
• Design and oversee comprehensive strategies to meet complex customer requirements using Proofpoint's security solutions.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of service and customer interactions.
• Maintain an expert understanding of the evolving threat landscape to provide guidance on emerging risks.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of leadership experience in the information security field.
• 6+ years of industry experience in client services, sales engineering, senior support, or IT operations management.
• Managed security or consultancy experience is required.
• Relevant experience with Proofpoint products and understanding of threat protection (Gateway, TAP, TRAP).
• Background in security, specifically regarding threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Deep understanding of email threat landscape including phishing, BEC, malware, and credential theft (preferred).
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent (preferred).
