Manager, Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Manage software development projects to ensure cost-effective and time-efficient delivery.
• Oversee cost and schedule performance for internal and external customers on Programs and IRAD.
• Coordinate and provide senior review and approval for bid and proposal efforts.
• Manage relationships with external hardware and software vendors.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance evaluations to engineers and technical staff.
• Lead recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes for qualified engineering staff.
• Contribute to the creation of strategic plans and technology development roadmaps.
• Champion continuous improvement and process innovation within the software development lifecycle.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
• Strong background in software development.
• Proven record of successfully leading large project planning and development activities.
• Ability to effectively communicate, including demonstrated presentation skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations while dealing professionally with all aspects of the situation and organization.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain/maintain DoD Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
• Experience working within an Agile development environment, including Scrum Team certification (preferred).
• U.S. citizens.
