Own the architecture, lifecycle, and daily operations of enterprise compute, virtualization, and storage platforms.
Manage and develop a team of engineers who build and operate hypervisor clusters and high-performance storage systems.
Lead capacity planning and performance engineering to ensure hardware and software platforms meet engineering demand.
Design and report on high-availability, backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies for virtual machines and storage arrays.
Establish hardware standards, manage vendor relationships for pricing, and supervise the installation and decommissioning of equipment.
Drive automation of provisioning, patching, and operational tasks using infrastructure as code and scripting.
Partner with network, security, and facilities teams to manage connectivity, power, cooling, and workload placement.

What we're looking for
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for Department of State authorization.
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 5+ years of experience in enterprise-class server, virtualization, and storage platforms.
8+ years of experience in enterprise-class server, virtualization, and storage platforms in lieu of a degree.
5+ years of experience leading and managing technical IT teams.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted for racking and moving equipment.
Availability for travel as required (less than 25%) and availability for extended hours or occasional weekends.
Experience architecting and operating enterprise storage protocols and platforms such as NFS, SMB/CIFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NVMe-oF, NetApp, Pure Storage, and object storage (preferred).
Experience operating production virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere/vCenter, Hyper-V, or KVM (preferred).
