Manager, Engineering, Dev AI

What you'll do

• Shape and drive the AI for Developers strategy by aligning architecture trade-offs and product direction.
• Build foundational AI tooling and infrastructure to improve developer productivity across the software development lifecycle.
• Develop SDKs for rapid internal AI app development and tools for AI-assisted code migration.
• Serve as a consultant and expert to help company teams adopt and leverage new AI capabilities.
• Coach and mentor a remote team of engineers to help them grow in their roles and responsibilities.
• Stay current on the AI tooling landscape to balance technological innovation with measurable developer impact.
• Foster relationships with partner teams and stakeholders to establish clear working agreements.

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of experience as a full-time manager.
• Experience supporting and coaching Staff+ and Senior engineers.
• Experience managing a remote or distributed team.
• Experience building developer infrastructure, tooling, or platforms, ideally at scale.
• Experience applying AI technologies to real-world software development challenges.
• A track record of quickly ramping up in new domains, technologies, or languages.
• Demonstrated success partnering cross-functionally with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
