Manager, Engineering (AI/ML/DE)

What you'll do

• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and data engineers.
• Develop end-to-end, customer-facing AI/ML applications and ETL platforms.
• Research state-of-the-art AI/ML/DE techniques to establish team best practices and design patterns.
• Shape the product roadmap, user experience, and technical infrastructure with Product, Design, and Engineering counterparts.
• Quantify and communicate the value and impact of AI/ML and Data Engineering work to leadership.
• Oversee the development of underlying platform architecture required to scale AI/ML experiences.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of industry experience leading teams of data scientists and machine learning engineers developing end-to-end AI/ML applications and data infrastructure.
• 5+ years of fluency in Python, REST APIs, AI/ML frameworks, modeling techniques, and model serving.
• 5+ years of experience with relational and NoSQL data stores, data pipelining tools, CI/CD, and serverless technologies.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical leadership audiences.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team in developing customer-facing AI/ML and ETL applications and platforms.
• Ability to research state-of-the-art AI/ML/DE techniques to incorporate into team best practices and design patterns.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Physics (preferred).
