Manager, Data Engineering

What you'll do

• Manage a multi-disciplinary team of data, software, and machine learning engineers.
• Build and operate multi-modal data foundations including text, image, video, and audio for ML and GenAI models.
• Develop robust batch and streaming pipelines to ensure high data quality and reliability for analytics.
• Create scalable analytical data models to support content promotion, distribution, and experimentation.
• Provide technical vision for modeling, storing, and serving structured and multi-modal data at scale.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to prioritize and execute on high-impact data products and tools.
• Establish best practices for data storage, access, and usage across various engineering teams.
• Mentor team members through career development paths in data, software, and machine learning engineering.

What we're looking for

• You must have at least 7 years of experience leading data engineering teams, including managing managers and heterogeneous teams.
• You must have a proven track record in complex domains involving multi-modal media data, marketing, or ML/AI products.
• You must be able to oversee both analytics-focused data engineering (ETL/ELT, modeling) and ML-focused data engineering (feature pipelines).
• You must possess deep technical expertise in areas such as large-scale multi-modal asset processing or data warehousing.
• You must be proficient with Big Data and cloud-based technologies including Spark, S3, and modern data warehouses.
• You must be a crisp communicator capable of building relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• You must have experience leading shared resource teams and prioritizing work across multiple stakeholder groups.
• You must demonstrate the ability to provide technical vision for modeling and serving structured and multi-modal data at scale.
