What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and implement mainframe software applications that support business goals and client needs.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications in collaboration with architects and analysts.
  • Code, test, and debug applications to ensure they meet architectural requirements and perform reliably.
  • Maintain and enhance existing application software while assessing the impact of system changes.
  • Lead peer reviews and provide technical guidance to mentor junior developers.
  • Assist the production support team with defect analysis for internally developed applications.
  • Communicate development status regularly to cross-functional partners and stakeholders.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience with COBOL, DB2, BMS Maps, VSAM, JCL, and IBM Utilities.
  • 5+ years of experience with IBM Mainframes and the TSO/ISPF development environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with Endevor or a similar source control application.
  • 5+ years of experience in software design principles and software architecture.
  • 2+ years of experience with PEP+ Mainframe ACH Software.
  • 1+ year of experience with Agile or Kanban development methodologies and JIRA.
  • 1+ year of experience with IBM DEBUG, File Manager, CLIST, or REXX in high-volume transaction processing or financial services environments.
