As a Senior Data Scientist on the Mailchimp Customer Success Data Science & Analytics team, you will drive end-to-end analytical projects that enhance customer engagement and retention for small to mid-market businesses. You’ll partner with Customer Success, Product, and Operations teams to define success metrics, run experiments, and develop predictive models that inform customer health and support effectiveness. Utilizing SQL, Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn), and other tools, you will analyze large datasets to uncover trends and risks across the customer lifecycle, creating clear narratives and visualizations for both technical and non-technical audiences. Ideal candidates have 4–7 years of data science experience with a strong background in statistics, experimentation, and communication skills, as well as familiarity with SaaS products and AI/ML technologies.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

Experience translating complex analyses into actionable business insights.
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; advanced degree preferred.
Familiarity with Customer Success or go-to-market analytics (churn, retention).
