Senior Associate Machine Learning Scientist, Natural Language Processing

What you'll do

• Research and develop state-of-the-art machine learning models to solve real-world problems.
• Apply advanced machine learning methods specifically to Generative AI (GenAI) tasks.
• Own the full lifecycle of developing and deploying machine learning solutions from ideation to production.
• Act as a thought partner to help business leaders identify and implement impactful machine learning methods.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Business, Technology, Product, Legal, and Compliance teams to deploy solutions.
• Develop large-scale frameworks to accelerate the application of machine learning models across the firm.
• Design experiments and training frameworks while evaluating performance metrics aligned with business goals.
• Communicate technical concepts and research results to both technical and business audiences.

What we're looking for

• PhD in a quantitative discipline or an MS with at least 2 years of industry or research experience in the field.
• Solid background in Generative AI (GenAI) and hands-on experience with machine learning and deep learning toolkits like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Ability to design experiments and training frameworks and evaluate model performance metrics aligned with business goals.
• Scientific thinking with the ability to work independently and in highly collaborative team environments.
• Solid written and spoken communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
• Strong background in Mathematics and Statistics (preferred).
• Familiarity with financial services, continuous integration models, and unit test development (preferred).
• Knowledge in search/ranking, Meta Learning, or published research in Machine Learning or Deep Learning (preferred).
